Furniture Porn is a simply fascinating web project that emulates and satirizes a cheap porn website (I can only assume). It's so real that I almost feel like my MacBook is about to be overridden with viruses and/or scary images. With no further explanation from Net Art, Furniture Porn seems to me like one big meme. Being told that it is art, however, I am forced to look at the website further, or at least to break down the facts.  Here's what I know for sure: 1. Furniture is sometimes so beautiful that browsing through it might be a source of pleasure at times. 2. The website is thoroughly designed, even featuring links to details and pop-ups that further the art project. 3. I like this work because it is funny. By satirizing porn and creating this extensive website, the artist seems to comment on the garish way that websites have formed for reasons that are already associated with being trashy.  I enjoyed exploring this and other website-as-medium art works, because they truly exposed me to new perspectives on internet culture and platforms for creating that I had never thought of before. I like the idea of making a website into an art piece as it is accessible and easily navigable for both me and viewers.
